The events for Walmart’s annual shareholder’s meeting, which is scheduled for June, have been announced.
On Wednesday, June 5, the company will hold a formal business meeting that will primarily focus on “shareholder voting on formal business and proxy proposals,” according to a Walmart press release.
Shareholders are permitted to vote electronically, online or by phone if they are unable to attend the meeting. The record date for shareholders entitled to vote at the June meeting is April 12, 2019.
The Wednesday meeting will take place at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers at 10 a.m. It will be streamed online.
There will also be a business update and celebration for associates and shareholders on Friday, June 7. This event is designed to “recognize and celebrate Walmart’s associates from around the world as well as shareholders.”
This event will be held at the Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, starting at 8 a.m. CEO Doug McMillion will lead a Q&A session for the investment community starting at 12:15 p.m.
The Q&A session will also be streamed online.
