The ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator recently concluded, but there’s still one more FinTech accelerator that’s coming to Arkansas.
In May, the Venture Center will host the kick-off for the fourth annual FIS FinTech Accelerator. This accelerator, a partnership between the Venture Center and FIS Global, is a 12-week program that is designed to develop early-stage financial technology companies.
The FIS Accelerator aims to select 10 ventures to participate in the program to develop innovative solution for the finance sector.
The program focused on companies that will provide solutions to the following areas: data and analytics, digital enhancements, AI and machine learning, gamification, process automation, marketing, customer engagement, data privacy and cybersecurity.
“We’re proud to continue our support of FIS FinTech Accelerator in collaboration with the State of Arkansas and The Venture Center,” said FIS Chairman, President and CEO Gary Norcross. “This program is part of our continuous modernization strategy to discover and invest in the next generation of technology innovations. We look forward to another year of breakthrough ideas from financial technology startups around the world.”
According to a FIS press release, past FIS FinTech Accelerator participants have raised over $53 million in capital since their involvement with the program.
The kick-off event will be held Wednesday, May 1, at the Venture Center in Little Rock. The doors open at 4:30 p.m. for this free event.
