Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is breaking ground on its first Central Arkansas location.

The new restaurant will be located in North Little Rock at 4311 E. McCain Blvd. According to a company news release, the restaurant is expected to open in early October.

Currently, there are five Raising Cane’s restaurants in Arkansas. Two are in Fayetteville, with one in Rogers, Bentonville and Texarkana.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Caniacs in North Little Rock a Raising Cane’s to call their own,” said Area Leader of Restaurants Jason Leonard. “We have found the perfect location close to McCain Plaza, so our next step will be to assemble an incredible crew. We look forward to sharing our ONE LOVE with everyone in the area, in addition to getting involved with schools and organizations throughout the community.”

North Little Rock’s Raising Cane’s restaurant is expected to hire approximately 70 employees.

Raising Cane’s was founded in Baton Rouge in 1996 by Todd Graves. Named after Graves’ yellow Labrador, the chain has grown to more than 440 restaurants across the U.S. and internationally.
