IdeaFame Returns to Bentonville June 18

Northwest Arkansas innovators and entrepreneurs will have a chance to pitch their ideas and take home some cold hard cash at the IdeaFame Live Pitch Contest on June 18.

IdeaFame is a community event designed to promote bright ideas and increase creative collisions in emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems. During the two-hour event, anyone registered as a presenter will have the chance to pitch his or her new business, product, service or solution for a chance to win a cash prize.

Contestants will have 60 seconds to pitch and will not be allowed to use slides or notes. Only one contestant can speak per pitch.

“This unique event is a great way to validate your ideas and to see if there is a market for your startup,” Haley Allgood, executive director of Startup Junkie, says. “It’s an opportunity to get out and share those ideas with others, encouraging innovation and meeting potential partners. Most participants come away inspired by all the innovative people here in Northwest Arkansas.”

Anyone is free to participate in the pitch competition. And everyone is invited to attend.

After every contestant has made their pitch, the audience will be given a chance to vote on their favorite idea. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize for People’s Choice. Judges will vote on a Judges’ Choice winner who will also receive a $1,000 cash prize. Prizes will be awarded on the spot.

The upcoming IdeaFame Pitch Competition will be held at the 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville on June 18, beginning at 6 p.m.

Contestants must register by Sunday, June 16. Both contestants and attendees can register to attend the free event here.
