According to Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has increased salaries for entry-level managers, making them ineligible for overtime pay when a new Labor Department regulation takes effect later this year.

Employees who were being paid $45,000 annually will be paid $48,500 after receiving raises in September, according to Wal-Mart spokesman Kory Lundberg.
