Rock City Harley-Davidson Breaks Ground on New Little Rock Location

Rock City Harley Davidson Groundbreaking Ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Rock City Harley-Davidson facility occurred today at Gateway Town Center. Todd Hickingbotham, son of Frank Hickingbotham CEO of Hickingbotham Investments Inc., spoke at the ceremony about the new up and coming facility. “This is such an exciting day for our family, but most of all for our customers. There aren’t many businesses in the country or the world when they announce a new location and a groundbreaking ceremony that your customers ride up on motorcycles and want to be a part of it.”

Construction of the new 41,875-square-foot dealership is slated to begin in July 2018 and is estimated to be completed by late spring 2019. The new facility will include a one and a half acre training course.

“One of the things we are so excited about with this new facility is the Riders Academy. We’ll hopefully be training several hundred new riders that come in and also offer advanced courses to work with our existing customers to ensure safe riding for all,” said Todd Hickingbotham.

“Harley Davidson has been around for 115 years continuously and one of the exciting things about Rock City is their ability to bring their riding course here on sight and train new riders into the sport of motorcycling,” said Blayne Hatcher with Harley Davidson Motor Company.

The facility will also include a state of the art service department and an expanded offering of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, clothing, parts and accessories. “Our service departments will be larger so we’ll get the motorcycles that we’ve sold in the past in and out of the shops quicker and really and truly provide a better environment for our customers,” Todd Hickingbotham said.

Rock City Harley-Davidson is one of nine Harley Davidson locations throughout Arkansas, Tennessee and Oklahoma which are owned and operated by Hickingbotham Investments Inc. of Little Rock. Toad Suck Harley-Davidson, another Hickingbotham facility, will continue to serve the Conway area.
