Johnelle Hunt is one of this year’s recipients of the 2017 Governor’s Arts Awards. Johnelle, along with her late husband, J.B. Hunt, founded J.B. Hunt Transport, from which they generously support arts organizations and numerous nonprofits in Northwest Arkansas to the benefit of the region and state at large.
A “self-professed art lover” and contributor, Johnelle’s heart is in making a contribution to society. Her passions were further demonstrated when in 2016, she was honored as the year’s Arkansas Woman of Inspiration by the Children’s Advocacy Center for her work – found in our past September issue.
Las year, she spoke with Arkansas Money & Politics’ former editor, Evin Demirel, discussing Alice Walton, Crystal Bridges, and her hometown’s most famous artist. Thank you Johnelle, for graciously contributing to Art – a necessary branch of creativity that brings so much enjoyment, inspiration and life.
