Deltic Timber has undertaken a nationwide search for a CEO to replace Ray Dillon, interim CEO D. Mark Leland Leland tells Arkansas Business, which also reports that Mr. Leland won’t stay on as chief executive.

Analyst Albert Sebastian of Prospect Advisors, told Arkansas Business that he found Mr. Dillon’s “departure somewhat surprising and somewhat abrupt.”

“There might be a little more there than we know as to why,” Mr. Sebastian said. “When a CEO abruptly leaves, it could be a signal of differences.”

In October, the Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranches presented the 21st Annual Arkansas Children’s Award to Deltic Timber and Ray Dillon.
