Nearly a year after it was shuttered for renovations, the popular west Little Rock movie theatre in the Promenade at Chenal is open for business.
AMC Theatres Chenal 9 opened last month, offering visitors a nine-screen theater that includes an IMAX screen, dining, mixed drinks and recliners.
The theater, which was branded as a B&B Theatre property, closed for renovations last June. The renovations and rebranding was scheduled to take only a month. Construction at the location, however, did not begin until January of this year.
The theater opened on May 18 with the release of Deadpool 2, which premiered on the cinema’s IMAX screen.
AMC operates nearly 1,000 theaters, including more than 200 in the United States, and there are currently six other AMC theaters operating in Arkansas – in Fayetteville, Batesville, Fort Smith, Hot Springs, Bella Vista and Harrison.
