Founder Jerry Carlisle passes torch to son as Little Rock-based company marks 40th anniversary
LITTLE ROCK — After four decades as chief executive officer of Little Rock-based Business World, Jerry Carlisle has appointed his eldest son, Stephen Carlisle, to the leadership position. The multifaceted business-services platform, which Jerry founded in 1977, offers consultation for office equipment as well as digital solutions, with an increasing focus on cyber-security and data management.
Stephen will guide the company’s expanded digital offerings, while maintaining a high-level of personal service. “I have watched my father lead this company since I was a young child,” said Stephen. “What I learned from him is that passion, focus, and honesty lead to happy customers and a healthy business. What’s exciting about becoming the CEO is the opportunity to build upon what my father has already established.”
Stephen Carlisle, a successful entrepreneur in his own right, attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, and was a longtime employee of Business World before being promoted to CEO.
A Little Rock institution, Business World is committed to innovating in the fields of IT and enterprise solutions while maintaining its focus on community service and charitable causes. Stephen plans to continue to expand the company’s efforts to support local and regional non-profit organizations and causes.
