Arkansas Teacher of the Year Semi-Finalists Announced

Four Arkansas teachers were recognized this week as semi-finalists for 2019 Arkansas Teacher of the Year.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson and Johnny Key, Arkansas Department of Education Commissioner, announced the four semi-finalists during a ceremony held at the Governor’s Mansion on Thursday. 14 regional finalists were also recognized during the ceremony.

The 2019 Arkansas Teacher of the Year will be announced later this fall. This teacher will serve as an educational ambassador in Arkansas and represent the state in the National Teacher of the Year competition.

The 2019 ATOY semi-finalists are:
